This is a song we submitted in a Frisian songcontest called Liet 2012. At this point we made it through te semi-finals.
The song is written by Yldau Bijlsma and my sister. I wrote the music for the song.
Yldau & Yldau sang the lead vocals. I did the backing vocals and the instrumental parts.
The song is about the four elements used for explaining different emotions in life.
Water = lonelyness, wind = choosing, earth = loosing and fire = love (conquers all).

Hold on
A tribute to my wife and unborn child. I wrote this song last year during the pregnancy of my wife. I wanted to tell them that I supported them as much as I could.
Yldau did sing te lead vocals in the chorus, because it was a little bit to high for myself.

Just see me
It's always difficult to find somebody to love. Especially when the communication isn't as clear as it seems... Yldau had an idea for the lyrics. The body-part in the chorus was my idea.
One of the first experiments recording drums with two condenser microphones.
It's still a very hard job to do trying to get the right frequencies (just keep trying).

Love song
This is the song I wrote for my wife when I married her. I wanted to do somethings special to surprise her.

Our first song
This is the first song we recorded at our parental home (2006). It's called "Take my hand".
It started with the catchy piano tune. While I played it, Yldau started writing down some lyrics and tried to sing along. After rehearsing a bit we tried recording the basic part of the song in Cubase. Afterwards we recorded every part of the song seperatly. The only thing that bothers me now is de synth-drums. The rest of the song is OK.

Introduction
We're Yldau & Jan. A sister and a brother that share the same passion for music.
Me (Jan), started singing and playing piano at the age of seven. Yldau followed by taking over the lead vocals, when I was playing. And along with the years and educational help of some music teachers we developed a lot of new skills and started playing in some bands.
Besides the piano, I also started learning to play the guitar, bass guitar and the drums. And after years of playing in different bands/projects we decided to write our own music.
And this we want to share with the readers/listeners of our blog-page.
